X25 profile editor: Packet emulator init

Protocol mode. Emulation mode:

  • DTE. Clarinet emulates the X25-Packet Data Terminal Equipment.
  • DCE. Clarinet emulates the X25-Packet Data Communication Equipment.

Modulo 128. Modulo option:

  • No. The packets are numbered modulo 8 (basic operation).
  • Yes. The packets are numbered modulo 128 (extended operation).

Q bit used. Use of the Q qualifier bit is optional.

D bit used. Use of the D delivery confirmation bit is optional.

Packet size. Maximum length of the packets.
M more bit management according to the Data unit size parameter.

Data unit size. Maximum length of the data units elaborated from the selected data source.

Window size. Value of the packet window.

Packets/sec./LC. Maximum value of the number of packets transmitted by LC every second.
An empty field gives the don't care meaning.

LCN 0 allowed. LCN 0 option:

  • No. The LCN 0 cannot be used for a call.
  • Yes. The LCN 0 can be used for a call.

Logical channel ranges. To define the VC ranges of the different possible types.

Time-outs. Value of time-limits specified for X25 and X75 protocols.
