Filter editor: TCP-UDP ports assignment (auto mode)

Port numbers. First processing step: When the automatic mode is used within the protocol stack over TCP/UDP, list of port numbers used as destination or source (if no matching for dest. in the whole table), which force a particular decoding stack of protocol(s) for some upper layers n+1, n+2 and n+3 over the layer n.

  • min. Minimum value of the range of the relevant port numbers.
  • max. Maximum value of the range of the relevant port numbers.
  • Protocol (n)
    • None. Not used
    • TCP/UDP. either TCP port or UDP port
    • TCP. TCP port only
    • UDP. UDP port only
  • Protocol (n+1) / Protocol (n+2) / Protocol (n+3)

Attempt to decode. Second processing step if there is no port matching in the first step, and decodings still remain unresolved. One protocol combination (protocol n+1 over protocol n) or several ones can be independently selected in a list to be attempted.

  • Yes. The relevant combination is attempted.
  • No. The relevant combination is not attempted.

Default ports. Third processing step, if the previous ones are unsuccessful, and decodings still remain unresolved.
Default combinations (protocol n, n+1) are used:

  • Protocol (n)
  • Protocol (n+1)
