IP profile editor: RAS settings

Discovery and registration. to a Gatekeeper.

  • Discovery method. Discovery method and Gatekeeper lookup table for the static discovery mode.
    • Auto discovery. The Gatekeeper Request (GRQ) is sent in broadcast mode
    • Static discovery. The Gatekeeper Request (GRQ) is sent consecutively  to the addresses in the Gatekeeper look-up table.
    • No discovery. Discovery is by-passed and the Registration Request (RRQ) is sent directly.
  • Gatekeeper lookup table
    • IP address : port. Input box for the Gatekeeper lookup table.
      IP address and UDP port number must be separated by a ':'.
    • Add. To add to the Gatekeeper lookup table a couple (IP address, UDP port number) from the input box.
    • Address list. List of couples (IP address, UDP port number) which are used in sequence to reach a Gatekeeper.
    • Remove. To remove the highlighted couple (IP address, UDP port number) from the table.

Local RAS port. Local UDP port number.

Encode RAS messages. To edit/encode the content of the different outgoing RAS message types generated by the emulator during H323 simulation, independently of the outgoing/incoming calls.

RAS retransmission parameters. List of retransmission parameter values for the output RAS message types.

  • Timer. Without any answer after this delay, the relevant RAS message type is transmitted again.
  • Retry counter. Max number of times the relevant RAS message type is transmitted again if necessary.
