Connection
properties

RTP parameters

  • Packet duration. in ms, between 2 and 100.
  • Payload type. Automatically fixed in case of standard encoding specifications of the Network codec. Otherwise to be manually set.

Network Codec. For selecting the encoding specifications of the RTP data flow.

RTCP parameters

  • SDES items... Access to editing the content of some fields of the Source description RTCP packets (conveying information about the participants in an on-going session).


Active state

Tx Data source. For data to be sent:
  • None. No data source.
  • Transmit pattern. Pattern of characters, selected from a choice list, and transmitted as a sequence of data packets.
  • Transmit file. File (of wav type) transmitted as a sequence of data packets.
  • Sound card. resource of the PC and micro device needed.
    • Source selection. For some data source type, a complementary selection must be done.
    • Transmission mode. of the data source.
    • Send continuously. The connection is automatically closed when the time duration expires.
    • Send number of time(s). The selected data source is transmitted, for the number of times as defined. And then, after the delay expiry, the connection is automatically closed.

    Rx Data source. For data to be received:

  • None. No data connection.
  • Receive file. File (of wav type) generated from the data packets received in sequence.
  • Sound card. resource of the PC and speaker device needed.
    • Source selection. For some data source type, a complementary selection must be done.
    • Limit Rx file size. In use only with active source defined as Receive file.
      • No. no size limit.
      • Yes. The following Max size parameter is used.
    • Max size. In use only with active source defined as Receive file.
      The received data are no more recorded  in the Rx File after this size is reached.
      An empty field means an infinite size value.

    Time duration depending on the transmission/reception mode:

    • Wait after end. Supplementary delay after a fixed limit. When it expires, the connection is automatically closed. An empty field means an infinite value of time.
    • otherwise Data state duration. Connection duration. The connection is automatically closed when this duration expires. An empty field means an infinite value of time.
